Entry #8 News
I didn't know what to talk about for this blog entry if I'm being completely honest but today were talking about news that's going on around us currently. Since majority of us are loaded with homework and responsibilities it feels like the world has gone silent and there isn't much going on, but surprisingly there's a lot of news and events.
About a month has gone by and it seems like things have calmed down between Russia and Ukraine. People weren't posting about it on social media as much but a lot has gone down between these two countries. Putin's forces are preparing to expand control in the east and south side of Ukraine. The move follows Russia's failure to capture the capital city of Kyiv, according to sources. Putin recently just appointed General Alexander Dvornikov to lead the next phase of the War in Ukraine. Many believe including the U.S. that the new leader will change the outcome of the war. Not only that but concerns are on the rise since lots believe that innocent civilians could be targeted. The new General appointed by Putin is considered the worst of the worst. He's known for destroying city and killing lots of people. The Ukrainian president says that tens of thousands of people have already sadly been killed in Mariupol. President Zelenskyy also accused Russia of targeting and destroying over 300 hospitals. Sadly 4,232 casualties have been reported, and it's expected for numbers to still continue on the rise. Hopefully this tragic war comes to an end soon,
Recently we have all heard about the shooting that injured at least five people at the Tanger Outlets here in Glendale. All of the victims thankfully are now recovering. So who exactly did this? Well at this current moment a seventeen-year-old is being charged as an adult. Raul Franco is being accused of aggravated assault, misconduct, and endangerment involving weapons. It all went down because of some problems caused through social media.
Well I think that it is one of the worst ways to concur Ukraine. The people of Ukraine know if Russia takes over they will suffer. So they will fight Russia to the last man. This will lead to a costly war on Russia and the inability to expand further.
ReplyDeleteHey Yamin, I enjoy reading your blogs. I honestly feel bad for the people of Ukraine. Living in fear everyday, scared of what is coming tomorrow is the worst way to live. So many people have lost their loved ones and also one of the things that keep mankind going. They have lost hope and that is very sad.
ReplyDeleteYou are right the amount of bad things happening around, locally and all over the world is certainly sad. You can't go a day without getting a notification of something unfortunate happening, it is overwhelming to the say the least. So we should really be watching out for ourselves and be safe.
